Essential Oils for skin- part II

Skin application

When essential oils are applied on skin, they penetrate in to subcutaneous layer of skin (they are very fine molecules) and then enter the blood stream. Along with a gentle massage they improve blood circulation and tone up the muscles. Also they seal the surface from the environment.

Face skin care

Do not use soap if you have dry skin.

Cleaning Put 6 drops of lavender and germanium oil each and mix in 30 ml of warm water. Apply with cotton and should be used to clean the face

Face oil Take two drops of any one of these oils (jasmine, rose or neroli) in 1 tsp of oil (almond, jojoba or olive oil). Mix and apply on face with upward strokes and with circular movements of fingers, massage gently for 5 mins and leave for 30 mins. Remove excess oils with a tissue.

Essential oils are plant natural oils and are obtained from flowers, seeds, fruits and barks of plants by steam distillation. These oils are plant life force and they protect the plants. Essential oils are plant hormones, natural chemicals in their balanced composition and with their specific aromas. Essential oils when used, oxygenate, heal and rejuvenate the skin unlike any synthetic skin care products.
Exfoliation Take 2 tsp oatmeal or crushed apricot or almond in warm water and apply it on the face and leave it on for 15mins. Then it should be slowly massaged and washed off with warm water.

Mask Wash your face and then apply honey. Leave for 15 mins and wash with warm water weekly.

At Night Apply 2 drops Sandalwood, in 1 tsp of almond oil and sleep.

Lip care Apply petroleum jelly or apply cocoa butter or milk cream on your lips.

Body care

Daily after bath Apply body oil consisting of 2tsp of olive oil with 2 drops of sandalwood, lavender and 1 capsule of primrose oil.

Once a week, exfoliate with oatmeal and follow up with a body massage. Have a cozy and comfortable winter
